List clearance
simplified clearance · de minimis
A simplified route for low-value personal imports, cleared on a list of the goods rather than a full import declaration. The threshold is USD 200 from the United States and USD 150 from elsewhere.
It is the fastest way through customs, because there is less paperwork.
Not everything qualifies. Medicines, health supplements, food, some cosmetics, alcohol, tobacco and agricultural or fishery products are excluded whatever their value and need a full import declaration.
Above the threshold, or outside the list, the shipment moves to ordinary clearance and duty and VAT apply. Several parcels arriving on the same day for the same person can be added together and pushed over the limit.
Goods intended for resale never qualify, at any value.
