Warehouse release report

carry-out report · departure from bonded area

views 38

The report telling customs that cleared goods are leaving the bonded warehouse. It is the last step of clearance, after which the shipment passes to a domestic courier.

It is the last of the six clearance steps. Release ends the customs side, and the warehouse release takes the goods out of storage. The tracking number changes at this point. Until the goods leave the warehouse they move under an HBL number; once a domestic courier has them, they move under that courier's waybill number. This is why a shipment appears to stop here if you only have one of the two numbers. If the release is reported but the courier's tracking shows nothing, they have not yet received and scanned the parcel. It usually appears within a day. Where duty and VAT are payable, acceptance follows payment and only then can the goods be released. Nothing leaves the warehouse untaxed.
